We used our online Transportation Management System to identify and implement new strategies for savings. For example, we provided volume rates versus less-than-truckload (LTL) on the client’s inbound shipments, which generated substantial savings.
By going with TDS, this client saved 5 percent on its outbound shipping and 30 percent or more on its inbound shipping. We were also able to cut one to two days off of its deliveries to the east and west coasts.
